Reading The Hundred Dresses

We had a break between School during the month of December.  During this time we read a few books we hadn't taken the time to read yet, one of which was "The Hundred Dresses."  It came with Jo's K curriculum but it was considered extra reading and we never took the time to read it.  So, I decide to read it with Evie Joy but Josiah ended up sitting in on the entire book.  He was so hooked and we read multiple chapters daily.  At one point in the book, Josiah was crying.  It was a precious.  The book was about one little poor girl and how the other girls in her class would make fun of her.  When he cried I asked him if it was because he also made fun of people…Josiah shared that it was because he could relate to the poor little girl the others were harassing and making fun of…and that he doesn't respond how she responded to these girls, he gets angry and frustrated with the kids who treat him that way but the little girl in the book was kind and forgiving and choose to draw beautiful dresses for the other girls, blessing them.  I just want to remember how this book spoke to my 7 year old!
