fussy baby in a foreign land

so what do you do with a fussy baby who won't sleep? wear him out, literally! daddy was in a village and it was just me and mommy so mommy took her list and we went to the supermarket (not the market with live animals). we do have a couple air-conditioned supermarkets. they are normally really crowded, like people are playing bumper cars off you so it's not the place for a fussy baby, but we have this new one that we think few people have discovered. so, we went to it- and it was God's amazing gift to us this fussy day because we only saw maybe 5 people in this store, the store people left us alone (usually we are celebrity like folk which doesn't help with a fussy baby either) and yes, it was air-conditioned and they had shopping carts, which jo loved!!! (and Mom got a break from wearing me) As you see in the cell phone pic above- i mean you don't take your camera out with a fussy baby either! Coming home was a bit of a physical test for Mom- being in a store for an hour you have to buy stuff so Mom had me in front, a pack on back and two bags walking up our big big hill home. Mom didn't know she'd have to train for the military to have a kid in a foreign land. This is us at our final destination...and soon Jo happily took a nap! This is our new fussy baby remedy!
Also, please be so thankful for all the resources you have at home- like a close friend or family member, a car to drive your fussy baby in, a drive way that is not over 1/4 mile long up hill. At the same time we are praising God for creativity!

Life as a Mom, I tell you! Thanks so much for posting this because I can relate (with a fussy baby that is) and it gives such good insight the life of a MM. You're such a cool Mom. Just think, one day, he'll be walking along side of you, then one day he'll be carrying the bags too. LOL

That day is coming, Sis! Believe me. LOL
