the Sweetie Song

Evie Joy & Daddy made up this Sweetie song that I am still trying to learn correctly- must be sung everyday to and from local Chinese Preschool-
She's the little Sweetie
She likes to be kind
and she likes to make friends
nobody better
nobody like her
Who's the Sweetie?  Who is she? (look around)
Evie Joy says ME with a huge giggle

Praying over my Sister

The other night when we were on our date, in Daddy's absence Josiah said he prayed over Evie Joy like Daddy does "that she is the baby girl Sweetie, that angels would watch over her while she sleeps and that she would grow up and share God's word!" I wanted to jot this down for Josiah's memory book here!

Something I love about Josiah

Josiah is maturing!  He has grown so much in his ability to hold a real conversation!  I just love it everyday when he asks Daddy about his day or trip...he tries to be so thoughtful in the way he asks and asks about specific places, events, things Daddy participated in, how it went, how did Daddy feel and so forth.  I really just wanted to make sure I took time to record this.  For a long time he would spend most of his time and energy only talking about things that interested him, pretend things, toys, shows...so I feel it is a real turning point of maturity for him!

Picnic, Hammocks, Bugs in the Rain!

The kids were so excited It was raining and we were not that enthusiastic about picnic-ing with friends, but it was such a good time for our kids! So thankful for that! We went to a place called "Natural Park."  It is the only place where there are big sections of grass for the kids to run around in.  There were a bunch of hammocks to swing in too.  So, Josiah said "Oh, Mommy the Chinese went to America and then came back and made this place!" ha, so America is all about big patches of grass and hammocks!

Here is Evie Joy eating some snacks...we had some sushi, some kind of meat, a dried vegetable that tasted like chips and a few other things, some familiar and some we don't know what they were ha!
It was raining so chasing Judah around in the rain wasn't the greatest fun...
Below, are the kids searching for bugs!  They are called the same thing as dumplings, ha...jaozi...

 Jaozi bugs...

What has Josiah been up to?!

Josiah began using Rosetta Stone to study Chinese!  He has been doing a great job!

Josiah had to write a friendly letter for one of his First Grade School assignments!  I wanted to keep it here since I throw out all their paperwork!  I thought it would be a good keepsake to see his first letter!
He would say he likes School and he can do the work, but most of the time he really doesn't love it, sad to say, he would rather be playing or in some far off imaginary land :)
